Not letting go means we're attaching to it for one reason or another, and maybe there's a good reason. We're ultimately able to let go, and not repeat, when we find the lesson or purpose of the pain. What Peter is discussing is acceptance, a surrender to God's knowingness and ultimate plan and design really. Which, is perfect. And, we need to learn. We want to speed through things we don't understand, don't take time to heal through. Time plays a vital role in healing because our perspective gets larger around it. In serious pain or trauma, perspective collapses. It disconnects neurological pathways and literally makes us blind. Slow intention to align within ourselves, to align with God, is everything
