To me it's the 80s because you got everything, you had the guys from the 70s like dr J bill walton, kareem... You had the 80s guys, bird magic isiah moses... And you had the 90s guys, barkley ewing hakeem jordan malone stockton robinson... You had the fast pace of today and you had the physicality of the 90s in the playoffs

Best era to me is the 90s when teams played offense and defense. Sure games ended with the score around 90 something to 90 something but the end of games were just nail bitters and often came down to the last possession. The 80' were also great but there was too much chaos with guys taking cheapshots to hurt star players. Teams like the pistons really tarnished the game but once that mess got settled. The gane really took off. This pansy era of basketball is just garbage and I blame Adam Silver because he penalized the defender so that the games can have more scoring and now you have 120 to 130 types of games all blow outs. Its rare that you get a back and forth game. Big centers are gone because now everyone needs more shooters for 3's. Guys like Embiid who couod ve dominating under the rim are now standing at the 3 point line. It's just not a good product to watch. Id rather view the highlights now than an entire game.

I think that the NBA was at its best from 1987 to 1994 before the expansion took place in 1995.
Another great era was 2007 to 2014.

I am going with the 90s overall although 80s were great. 2000-2010 is the last decade of basketball for me it became a shooting practice and an isolation game after that. Harsh and not accurate I know but it’s a different game now and not in a good way
