It’s a more a case phenolic insulation vs PIR insulation, rather than one brand being superior. Kingspan’s actual PIR products offer the same performance as other decent brand’s PIR (Celotex, Xtratherm etc). It’s only Kingspan’s phenolic insulation (Kooltherm) that offers superior performance to PIR, but it’s a completely different material, and Kingspan are pretty much the lone manufacturer of it on the UK market.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on vacuum insulated panels. They seem fragile and expensive but offer crazily low U values.
