I've been saying the ARRL should run some commercials for many years now. And place ads in national magazines and papers. But what the heck do I know. The only time we get any press is on field day.

Too many Bills, but I'm a Peter - Field Day coming up in the states and like TommyR mentioned, pretty much the only day any PR is granted to those kooky amateurs. Maybe a bit more use with all of our (US) self-induced power outages, keeping the batteries charged up and being able to chat while even the repeater sites go down is of some use. Cheers and 73!
