Like many radio amateurs I discovered short wave by tuning around on a home radio in the UK. Before I started to think about having a ham licence I used the WRTH as an essential reference. I even started writing a book about SWLing. VO1OK

When I was moving to live overseas (on a project), pre-internet, the book was a "must pack" along with a portable shortwave receiver. I've only seen them, of late, at swap fests.

Have heard of it but have never had one. By the way…. Ukrainians are reporting they are listening to the news on short wave from several locations that no longer have internet due to the damage on their infrastructure as communication services were the first to be targeted since the beginning of the war. One of the radio stations reported by citizens is Radio Exterior de España.

Thank you for this video. Even worst, almost all of the famous AM broadcast stations on the medium- and longwave bands here in Europe are already closed and dismantled. Several years ago I have bougt every 2 or 3 years a new WRTH. vy73 from Hamburg/Germany, Dietmar, DL4HAO :)
