This exercise has been very beneficial in several ways. 1) it has brought TTP members together from across the country, 2) we are all practicing and perfecting relay traffic, and 3) the SNRs are lower than we are used to on 40m regional so we have to be more careful and intentional in the traffic. All great stuff for building the skillset. I tip my coffee cup to you, brother. 73 kc8owl

Great job Gaston…. I like how you are showing the math behind your build for those who aren’t hams. Enjoy your weekend…. Bill, KC2KNA

Just use metric…you can do it in your head.
300/F MHz…gives you the wavelength in meters. Most small measuring tapes at the hardware store have cm, so you can use it to cut the elements.

Gaston ... for those of us who do not have rig expert ... could you show what the resonant frequency/swr is if we make it exactly by math and if we make it with the extra few inches? I wonder how close it is? Also some antenna orientations (flst dipole vs V shapes) may change impedence? Love this idea

Very cool! I am planning on taking my Tech and General test in a couple of weeks. Question, is just folding the antenna wire over and taping it tight enough to reverse the frequency wave? Or do you need to twist the wire back onto its self? Thanks!

Looking forward to p3. Question if you make a field card for the WARC band JS8Call, would you use the frequency on the sw, or the center of the digital band plan for each? Great job, keep them coming

I'm a newbie and I don't mind being wrong but question
Wouldn't the wound up wire be part of the antenna still ?
I thought that's why there was coiled wire in antennas, to make more distance in a shorter form factor

Cool idea. Rolls up nice and small. You planning to build one per band?

Just curious: changing your JS8Call plans to work the WARC bands instead of 40m?

What size wire do you prefer for your antennas?
