Oh this is perfect timing. My oldest (8) wants to learn to sew and I was just going to go looking for a pattern like this! I was going to have her make a library bag.

Recently my daughter in law came to me with her sister and I taught them to sew a simular bag. They are 31 and 29 and never before touched a sewing machine. They were just as proud on their bags as your girls are 😂

First off I want to say good job for not actually showing Your girls' faces!
Second I am super stoked and excited for the day when I can teach my own daughters how to sew. But our oldest girl is 2 years old right now, so I have a couple years to go. 😊❤

I was so young when I first used my mom’s sewing machine I cannot even remember the first time!
My brother once sewed through his finger! But mom was not alarmed. She kept on teaching us on “grown up” equipment—the real iron, the real sewing machine, real scissors. (Life in the 1970s was a little less health-and-safety conscious. 😂
