So, this would really only apply if a pilot has not had a Flight Review in the last 24 calendar months. If it is simply a matter of the 90-day currency then there is no reason to have an instructor on board to get that accomplished. I am struggling to figure out what problem they are addressing with the change.

Just to clarify. We now need to do 3 TO and landings before a CFI can get in the plane with you? For instance, I need to do an intrument proficiency check soon, I'm past the 90 days, so i need to get current before i do that?
