I love the sound of a mourning dove. It reminds me of my grandmas house back in Arizona.

This bird is so calming to listen to. It can be mistaken for an owl. It reminds me of my morning walk to school or biking around the neighborhood during the summer when I was a kid. Growing up in River Grove Illinois these birds can be heard all day. These memories shouldn’t be sad, rather positive to look back and see how far we’ve come.

Back in elementary school, I would always hear this bird when I wake up… Nostalgia has never hit me this hard

I remember when I was younger whenever I would hear that bird when I was alone and outside, I would respond back to it. It genuinely felt like we were haveing a conversation

Don't cry that it's over, smile because it happened.

It's crazy that we all collectively had Vietnam flashbacks from the sound of a bird that was everywhere at some point in our childhood

I think the bird gives us nostalgia because it makes us remember a time when we were outside more.

The doves give me back memories of waking up and getting ready for school when I was younger

Hearing this bird in the wildlife hits hard. When I was younger, in the spring, I would wake up to hearing them. The sun would be bright and up, like I would.

Mourning dove is so important, you're maybe living a period of depression and stress but when you ear the mourming dove, the indifferent chant of the trees and nature, you will find a great sense of peace
