If you gotta cut that fast put some exterior painters tape on the brick and pull it before it cures. Only step that didn't look perfect but I'm a painter so maybe a little critical lol. Tbh could have just been that quick edit and it looked cleaner in the end but just in case I figured I'd mention if there's a chance it could help.
