How do you use allergy eye drops? If you have bad allergies and they cause your eyes to be itchy, sometimes it's worth using an eye drop. I'm Dr. Manan Shah, I'm an ENT and allergist. A lot of people are kind of freaked out by putting something in their eye, so I wanted to show you guys today how to do it. It's pretty easy.

Effectively, you want to basically tilt your head back, you wanna pull your eyelid down to create this little pocket and then almost drip the drop with your head tilted back into that pocket. But the last move is you actually wanna take your finger and kind of push gently here to close off your tear ducts.

Because if you don't, what happens is, if you've noticed, tears will sometimes go through the tear ducts and down into your nose, and if the medication does that, it's just not gonna work.
