Often homeless people are incoherent and addicted to drugs but this man sounds sober and genuinely wants to work, yet nobody is giving him a chance. Hopefully someday someone will give him that chance.

Yes. My ex got homeless, so I took him to the homeless shelter and a rude employee told us that in our country (Poland) he needs a "homeless confirmation" from work agency. The problem was that it was Friday evening and agency wasn't open till Monday. But he doesn't care. I let him sleep in my house and at Monday the same employee told him all the rooms were full. :-----)

If he actually wanted to, he could get a job at a restaurant, apply for food stamps and housing assistance and rent a room somewhere but he’s not responsible enough. Grown child

He's absolutely right. The reason why some people stigmatise and look down on poor people in general is because they don't want to face the fact that it could happen to them, even if they make all the right decisions.

Yeah it does really suck out here, people treat you like crap all the time , fighting every day to get food to eat when all you want is a valid id & a job so you can fully support yourself but knowone No agency will help you which is mind blowing to most people but a sad reality for us homeless trying to support ourselves
