This is a sharpener that I recommend to anyone. It is very versatile. Also you can pull the retainer pin from the ceramic rod and use it as a hone a little easier.

I know it was dull but seeing you run that thing across your palm definitely puckered the sphincter a little. Nice sharpener btw

"/sigh/ ...I'm sorry."

"Do not apologize, my friend. For just as I would bite into your flesh for the sake of sacrificing blood for wisdom, so too shall I give of my flesh for the sake of spreading that very wisdom. Teach them, as I have taught you."

It's made by work sharp, Benchmade put their name on it and added an extra $20 to the price tag.

The Worksharp guided sharpener is legit. I was blown away when I first got one.

It can be a bit small - but up to 5-6ā€ blades I can get the job done.

I carry it with the diamond plates turned in - so they do not rub on things in the pack.

I have this sharpening tool and there is so much more to this tool . Benchmade made this their go-to sharpener because it has built in angle guides that Banchmade knives are angled at. Not all knives are angled at the same angle. On another note, Benchmade is hands down the best carry knife you can buy. My reptilian has dressed numerous elk and deer as well as opened up millions of Amazon boxes.....I need to speak to my wife about that.

Heres a tip not saying you done anything wrong because there isnt a right or wrong way as long as you get a sharp edge but this is just something to try out if you want. When you are on the plates you go from heel to tip when you go to the strop instead of going from heel to tip edge trailing go from tip to heel edge trailing. Not sure there is any proof it makes the edge any sharper but it does seem to remove the burr quicker. Great video I love my field sharpener.

That was painful to watch. Rocks are not gentle on knives. The worksharp sharpener is great for the pack and at home. I use it more than my stones.

I've had a Work Sharp Field Sharpener for years. I use it on everything. I can't recommend it enough.

The regular worksharp branded one is cheaper. Benchmade charges more just for a logo.

If the benchmade version is the only one you can find I'd say it's worth it. Without the benchmade logo it's cheaper and equally as good. I've had mine for several years and it's still going strong. Definitely the best sharpener when you are outdoors. I keep it in my vehicle just in case I'm away from home and need to touch up my edges. The edge maintenance tool is another worksharp/benchmade collab and that is also awesome. Pretty steep in price, but I'd say it's worth it.

I own this and love it. You only may consider getting a diamond solution spray for the strop, as the material comes off eventually

"So you need to get rid of the burs with each subsequent grit" Uses pine needle for burs
Leather Strop: "Am I a joke to you?"
Also, I'm pretty sure the instructions say the course ceramic is for serrated blades.

This is 100% legit, I sharpened my crappy kitchen knives for the first time since 2018 and now they can glide through paper towels. It makes whetstones feel like a scam.
