It is very interesting to hear the experiences of a pilot from the USA, who until 1989 was our arch-enemy behind the "iron curtain". The Mig-21 was the backbone fighter of the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War and how many ? Between 4000-5000 Mig-21 all variants...But times are changing and we are waiting for delivery of F-35 now from our friends ( delivery 2035 ), USA ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๏ธ

I am not diminishing anything, but you can tell this guy has been flying the cool stuff for way longer than any of us could hope to dream, all pipers and cessnas have nose gear steering, either direct rod linkages or cables, differential braking was something you have on grumman aa5 and diamonds to name a few

The RAF Spitfire and Hurricane used the same, or similar, system. That is how pilots, like Douglas Bader, with artificial legs could fly them. Air pressure also was used to fire the guns.
The Cesnas have steerable nose wheels (connected to the rudder controls) the SR 22 (civilian) and the B-29 do not.

Bro and the Russians were just like, "It's a jet forehead, we're all gas, no brakes. Just taxi faster."
