This is just good advice for most anything. You can always go back and take away more and have full control over whatever tool you're using... But if you're cranked up, there's little room for error. Small mistakes at a low speed only means a bit of damage, going faster than necessary and making a small mistake means way more to correct. Speed's important, but if I am having someone work on any part of me, I would rather they took their time and did it right than win some kind of race and leave me bleeding.

They used it on 35(!!) on my nails while filing gel off and I told them it burns my plate. The answer “Your nails are weak that’s why”. Fast forwards 5(!) days. All the gel fell off and rings on fire in every nail… I was a nail biter and it’s quite disheartening at this point.
Thank you so much for these videos, they’ve guided me through a lot. I’m sticking to my usual nail technician and slowly taking care of them at home.

My last visit to the nail salon is why I'm returning to doing my nails myself. I'd been passed around for about two hours because they were an organisational mess. One of the techs was way too cocky with the efile and accidentally filled down two of my nails while she was only supposed to remove the gel. They've been this careless many times, and I'm sick of jumping through hoops to get good nails. I didn't even get an apology, no sorry, when it got painfully hot. Nothing demure about their behaviour, and I got sick of it.

Having a good sharp drill bit makes a bigger difference than speed. Using a dull drill bit at 35k rpm won't be as safe or effective as a sharp bit at 15k rpm. Makes a world of difference when you get a new drill bit and turn the speed down, you have so much more control while still taking off plenty of material!

She has such a mom tone to her advice that it’s almost comforting in a way…any advice she gives I’m automatically like yes ma’am 😂
