It's true but tbh this goes for every gender. It's imp to preserve your mental health and energy and enjoy stuff that you actually wanna do, not something others might think is cool. And that's not just for boys, for every teenager of every gender. I get that you are speaking from your own experience but the title kinda threw me off a bit.

I fell in love with someone I never imagined myself with. When talking to her for the first time I felt like I’ve known her my entire life and she introduced me to all types of emotions that I couldn’t feel before. I was so numb. I met her and everything changed she actually cared about my feelings she told me to cry about my feelings and she comforted me. She made me the stepfather of her cat, but the thing is she was severely broken from past relationships and trauma. She broke up with me two days ago and I’m sad but happy. Im sad that we could’ve been high school sweethearts if we wanted to. Im happy that we both can find ourselves and heal from trauma. One day We might rekindle things but right now I’ll be focusing on myself. She is amazing but i so am I.
