I’m thinking of picking up a 16-35 for vlogging but whenever I do weddings i rent a 24-70 easily because it can cover most if not all my bases

I only take the tamron 35-150mm f2 and I use my camera on crop mode for the extra reach.

There is a lot to be said for manual focus primes, no AF.

I dont understand your having to lenses with such a close range 24-70, 24-105 basically you are gaining another 35 mm but losing a full stop. My three go to are 24-70 f2.8: 16-35 f2.8, and a prime 85 mm especially for weddings. I do keep 70-200 in my kit bag just in case but my 3 bodies always have these 3 lenses always. I do use 24-105 instead of a 24-70 if I am outdoors and don’t have to worry switching to a manual and just set my dial to Aperture Priority mode.
