The bottom of the shock is contacting something on the axle (maybe the brake line). You can see where the paint is worn off the shock tube at the bottom.

If you hear a crunching sound from the rear when hitting a bump it can be the trailing arm bushing

Bad wheel bearings sometimes dont reproduce the sound when you lightly rotate them by hand but a bad wheel bearing has a very characteristic sound when driving so i think you'd know if that was the problem. As far as crunching goes, maybe your break line comes into contact with the strut when you drive ( the paint everyone is talking about ), maybe your drum needs cleaning or your shoes need adjusting, maybe a trailing arm bushing, it could be a few things. Cant give you a definitive answer if I'm not the one examining the problem you know 😂

Shock or coil spring hitting the controll arm or shock is bad and need to be replaced due to the hydraulic fluid or gas in the tube and seals or the coil spring is creaking dew to it retaining the compression or the Tennessee ball in the spring is old that’s it’s cracking and not giveing support or haveing not enough bushing rebound for the spring but over all look in to the shocks and springs
