I sailed across the North Atlantic with contantly grey skies, constant wind, 30 foot+ swells, and an army of icebergs everywhere for miles aboard a small freighter. Close enough, thanks. Once is enough though impressive.

I don’t have to imagine it. I lived it. US Merchant Engineer Officer, 40 years. I faced storms and survived a ship that nearly broke up in the winter North Atlantic. My fellow seamen know what I’m talking about. Nothing on Earth is as severe as the winter North Atlantic. Pure hell in Earth.
