I don't want to pump extra chemicals into my body and I started making my own eco-friendly deodorant. And that's how it stayed :)
I've been using it for several years: I am not smelly, this cosmetic does not harm my skin, the ingredients are very cheap and deodorant lasts a really long time.
Ingredients and proportions:
- 2.5 tablespoons of coconut oil;
- 1.5 tablespoons of corn or potato starch;
- 1 tablespoon of sodium;
- fragrance or essential oils.
I usually make it in advance, so I take the above ingredients and multiply them by, for example, ten. I heat all the elements and mix until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. However, you can simply combine all the ingredients without heating.
I would also like to draw attention to coconut oils, because they are different. Mine absorbed a lot of starch and soda when heated, so when cooking, I had to add more soda and starch (keeping their proportions) to obtain the mass I needed. Don't be afraid to experiment with the proportions in this recipe, the most important thing is to obtain a thick consistency.
Remember that soda may leave white stains on darker clothes. However, don't worry about it at all, because these stains disappear after washing.
This handmade deodorant can be a great gift: made of harmless ingredients, with love for your loved ones, and with care for nature.
