‘Two Lads Kitchen’ is an underrated gem in Camden Market’s bustling indoor section; Hawley Wharf – they serve up authentic yet modern Afghani Street Food.

RICE BOWL WITH CHICKEN:

The Kabuli Pulao is my favourite rice dish so this was delightful, complemented by juicy grilled chopped chicken thigh. Topped with fresh salad and flavorful sauces, this dish stood out as my absolute favourite, a perfect marriage of textures and tastes. — 8.9/10

LAMB BURGER

The patty showcased the classic Afghan Lamb Chapli Kebab style, packing a punch of flavours. Although the burger was reasonably juicy, a higher fat ratio would have elevated the experience. Nevertheless, a commendable rendition of a classic. — 7.3/10

LOADED FRIES

Offered a choice between grilled chicken or chapli kebab, and I opted for the former. Deviating from the conventional cheese-loaded version, these fries showcased a more authentic take — 7.9/10

AFGHAN DUMPLINGS

The Steamed Mince Lamb Dumplings (Mantu) and Steamed Onion Chive Dumpling (Ashuk) were both soft and bursting with flavour. The unique presentation, layered with sauces and lentils (daal), added an extra dimension to the dumpling experience. These dumplings secured the second spot as my favourites— 8.5/10

No fancy words or corporate jargon needed here, just seriously good food. If you’re seeking top-quality, no-nonsense street food, this is the spot.
