Charles,
The piano is an extension of my very being. The repertoire to be explored is practically endless. I love the satisfaction of learning a beautiful composition, and being able to play it for my own pleasure, and the listening pleasure of others. It’s inspiring to see your passion for teaching and performance. Clair de lune is a piece that I’ve cherished in my repertoire for about a decade and a half now, and I would love to hear your insights on it.

I love classical music, especially piano music. It's a true blessing to be able to play my favourite pieces, it's a challenge for my brain and my fingers, it triggers a range of emotions in me and the piano is my best friend. Always there, it got me through the covid lockdowns very smoothly and i feel very lucky to have it in my life.

I am a great lover of music, the piano in particular is the instrument that touches me most. There are pieces (very often classical) that make me cry with emotion, that cause me awe, dismay and passion. When I can play those pieces I feel them live inside me, and I can give them a different and unique nuance. I've been playing since I'm 6 years old but I've never had a teacher (they cost a bit here in Italy hehe 😅) however nothing has ever stopped me from learning, and it's channels like yours that have allowed guys like me to learn this instrument and for that I'm immensely grateful. I wish you the best and thank you again for what you do

Apparently I was born wired for music, both on the piano and organ. There are things within me that cannot be expressed any other way, and things that I need that cannot be received any other way. In particular I find it plays a special part with spiritual connections in praise and worship -- the creation of music connecting with the Creator of music -- that is not possible any other way.
I love how so many different expressions and moods can be experienced, and the incredible connections I experience with the hearts and minds of so many different people -- composers from so many different eras and nationalities -- how it's possible to transport from Baroque Germany to impressionist France to an American jazz hall -- all while sitting in my living room!
One aspect I've come to enjoy and appreciate is the diverse personalities of the instruments themselves -- to experience the builder's choice of materials and craftsmanship and the technician's skill to bring out the unique character of each instrument. I have fond memories of special "old friends" I have played, and I'm always interested to meet a new instrument, and curious to hear what it has to "say" - :-)

I know the giveaway deadline has already passed but I would still like to share my opinion.
I have been playing piano for two years now, focussing on classical music. My love for classical and romantic era music drew me to learn piano. Classical music is rich and full of emotion, every piece is uniquely poetic. In my opinion, you don't really feel that sort of emotion in modern popular genres.
I love performing for friends and family. Seeing the joy and (sometimes) amazement that it brings them is a great feeling.
I have also gained unexpected friendships with people who are of different cultures, ages, and even different music tastes.
Anyway, I recently watched your Youtube video for Clair de Lune and found your practice tips very helpful. Have a good day.

Playing the piano became a huge part of my life. Without it, there's a lingering feeling of emptiness. That emptiness drives me crazy to the point where I become anxious. I can't go a week without playing. There's nothing more satisfying than learning to play a new piece; it's the equivalent of unwrapping a gift that you find under your Christmas tree. There's an amalgamation of joy and satisfaction after learning to perfect a new piano piece that you've tirelessly been working on for weeks, months, or maybe years. It feels like your battery has been recharged. It feels like you've accomplished something big.
Also, what makes the piano so special is its ability to capture people's emotions. The beautiful sound it produces has a unique way of telling different stories. Depending on the music, if it's upbeat, it might make people cheery and lively. If it's melancholic, it tugs on their heartstrings.
To me, the piano is more than just an instrument. It's treasure. It's the most beautiful thing humanity has ever created.

I lived there Piano since I was 7 listening to Tchaikovsky piano concerto with my dad in the car because it was his favorite and loved it ever since, I tried to learn a bit and it was all self taught because as kid growing up in the Middle East we didn’t have much conservatories and schools for western music, but I tried to develop myself and keep learning, I am a big listener too and familiar with most of the piano works from baroque to classic to romantic an on, I love your channel so much, thank you for doing all what you do 🙏🏻

Piano saved me from extreme depression and has helped me slowly recover from it. I hope more people will love it and I believe it will make the world a better place, as it's the only honest and sincere thing left in this world.
