This doctor is giving bad advice on how to get rid of bed bugs. He's just talking about all the skin bumps. Then at the end he just said vacuum?

spot on advice from this pest control guy, managed to pick up bed bugs from a hotel stay, luckily managed to recognise the signs early, and deal with it, but not until we got back home, did everything you suggested, as it mirrored advice from a pest controller, there is no easy fix but agree about using desiccant dust, I would add, don't sleep in a different room, you'll just spread any infestation, they will like to stay close to their food source, which is you, if you move rooms they will find you, they are attracted to your exhaled breath while you sleep. vacuuming is only helpful if you then don't keep it in the house, or thoroughly empty it immediately into sealed bags, any bugs left in a vacuum will most likely be able to escape, any eggs will hatch and be able to escape. its a marathon of repeat treatment and when you think you've got them all, carry out your regime at least a couple of times, there is no easy simple one action treatment for beg bugs, and don't be embarrassed to call a professional.
