In his recent post, @garyvee explores the topic of how hard skills are being commoditized, but soft skills are in great demand 🔥

And I 100% agree. Hard skills are easy to find and replace.

But what’s hard to find and replicate are soft skills.

I have worked with many developers & designers, and I can tell you one thing.

I would rather hire someone who is a good human being with mediocre skills...

VS. someone that has their ego up their 🍑 because they are a senior, and think people need to bow down to them.

I have worked with both.

And let me say, the egotistical developer/designer is the one that’s going to ruin the team.

So for new developers/designers out there.

PLEASE understand. Learning things like
👉 Speaking your truth
👉 Being kind
👉 Giving criticism in a kind way
👉 Accepting criticism
👉 Listening to everyone
👉 Having the willingness to be wrong

Are just as important if not more, to succeed in your job.

Especially if you want to move up in your role.

So don’t forget to also work your human self.

That part is hard for AI to replicate right now.
