It’s a great comfort to me, to see the return of the fieldfares. Beautifully subtle markings.
Many thanks Liam!

No not seen them but still have 60 odd starlings.
Pigeons, crows, seagull, 50 odd sparrows
Which I feed twice a day getting them ready for winter.❤

When I think of the intricacy and perfection of nature - as shown in this video- I'm in awe and grateful to be alive. Thank you 🤍

I keep hoping to see waxwings in the stand of rowan trees near my house on the edge of town. Used to see them most winters where I used to live, which also had rowans nearby, though it was more rural there.

The navigational skills combined with the knowledge of a specific food supply available in alternative countries by these birds is amazing. Haven't noticed any of the above, although i'll be keeping my eyes peeled from now on.

I saw about a dozen Waxwings last Thursday at Montrose Basin in east Scotland. Thousands of Pink-footed geese too.

We get these stay for a while as we have a lot of rowan, hawthorn and blackthorn trees . The redwing & fieldfares are very flighty and difficult to get close to. Always pleased to see them arrive though👍☺
