I think the people that hate on metalcore really need to go to a concert. I can say from experience, Ice Nine Kills, Beartooth, and Bring Me the Horizon are some of the best live bands you can be going to see right now.

I love older Metalcore, particularly melodic Metalcore. New Metalcore aint my thing, as I find it stagnant and frankly, boring.
But the old stuff... It Dies Today, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Hell Within, Miss May I, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Parkway Drive... I could go on.
That stuff though is phenomenal, some of the greatest metal ever made, easily up there with Thrash, Doom, and Power Metal.
