After my pastor said something like this from the pulpit about folks coming up to him before the sermon and asking, "Have you got a minute?" I started asking this, then after seeing the panic in his eyes adding, "Then take a moment to enjoy it" and laughing. You have to do this just before the sermon while his mind is occupied with it.

My boss used to do this allllll the time...I'd stay sick all day worried what I did wrong only to ask her later "Well! What did you need to talk about???" And she'd say "Oh that? Never mind".
Drove me nuts.

I agree completely unless it's something dire serious. I will usually send a message and say, "Please give me a call when you have a minute". Etiquette is lost in the text message world and the King's English is not far behind especially with the younger crowd that sends abbreviated words or even worse tries to communicate with Emojis which is basically picture messaging
