I've starting doing this intrinsically. I found I needed to be more relaxed about things and not hold myself to all these ridiculously high standards, especially since I'm in the process of figuring a lot of things out in regards to employment prospects, etc. I also think this approach makes it easier to have fun with what I do.

I am so related. The last year I tried to work full time as a restaurant supervisor and study for the university’s entrance test which i will take a whole different major. It was so hard, its not only about the time management, its also about the space in your head that you need to focus on specific things. And working in a position with huge responsibility towards other people took over all the spaces I have.
After a year, I realized it was not realistic to continue so I just moved down a position so I can focus mainly on studying.
And yes I agree, its not a losing battle. I now know my limit. I understand more about myself. This is a win.
You dont have to succeed at everything you try. If ones doesnt work with you, try other things.

My whole life has been an experiment and I wouldn't have it any other way 😂
Most of my friends and family are so traditional in their life paths. They went to university or college, got a job, got married in their mid to late 20s, had kid(s), stayed at the same job for decades, etc. Although everything is an experiment, they chose the well worn path that has been tried out by generations before them. I'll just say, I went the opposite route 😂
My traditional friends and family who are in their 40s and early 50s are now in the conversation of "where did my life go?" They are now figuring out who they are for themselves and are scared of their next steps. For them, embracing the "experiments" in their lives will be very important.

I need to embrace this idea so I don’t lose my mind, thinking I’ve failed at everything. I was in the university studying product design and it didn’t work, moved on to studying EFL teaching and finished it. But when I started working as a teacher I hated it with every inch of my being so after a semester I burned out and left work and staying at home since. I’ve tried some stuff but none of them clicked. I’ve also gone on a journey of self-discovery and found out that I might have ADD and autism. I need to keep trying stuff. I’m only 28 and I want to be useful for something. Good news is I’m currently looking for places that give art lessons. I think I have a talent in that regard because I came 3rd place at a country-wide contest when I was 11. I WILL find a thing I am willing to spend my time on more than a month. I WILL survive this harsh world.

I love this way of thinking. I’ve been doing this for the last several months and man it has changed how I see things. Thank you for articulating this so well.
