Absolutely, academic success doesn't mean you'll have success in the real world. I was so lucky I learnt this lessons early.

School teaches people to stay between the lines, ask permission, don't do this, don't do that. The second any boundaries are taken away from them they don't know how to handle themselves. This is why so many young people follow a crowd and only realize in their mid-20s that. Oh, maybe this wasn't in my best interest.

i suppose 'being clever' is important because life is full of choices and you gotta get your priority right. if you do not know how to figure out your life by your own, well..? i guess your life will be dictated by your people.
but i still have a point about school. going to school and being a clever human being are really different things. i think school is trying to teaches us a lot of things that doesn't really take our own interest. and for parents, they SHOULD not be that type of ignorant people. they have to consider, is school important? or is it just 'a phase' that you should go through while you're young? what is it? okay, education is IMPORTANT, but school? idk man, they teach us too many things. and a human brain is at its best when it has a FOCUS on one thing at a time. while school trying to train our brain to be 'multitasking' which perhaps most people nowadays had a severe distraction over things. they just can't really focus on one thing.
it's just an opinion from me, and personally i still can't believe how school system trying to 'steal' our time in a 'good way'. anw, i love EDUCATION <3
