Because it seems that you can't tell the difference between an impact socket and a regular socket that's the first indication second indication would be the quality of Steel used in the manufacturing of the socket head modern days cheap out wherever they can and usually that means material cost

Older products are stronger. But not as advanced as today's. Toughness is not what we need always. I prefer a non-shattering socket than a tough one that could blow my face off.

Older products were made to last 10 or more years. I have many older tools in my shop that are far more reliable than 'modern' ones..

The old one is stronger bcuz a few years ago they use to make them stronger making it more expensive to make so now they use cheaper items
