I am aged 962 months running recalling our olden glory days dat ed back to early 1957 when myself along with my 10 friends going to chamundi hills once a week during summer holidays for 12 weeks every year by climbing 1000 steps with a five minutes darshan of God Nandi st the 700th step moving to temple after this going round 3 times Our pro gramme starts as early as 5 30 or at the most 6 in the morning from the temple at Banumi ah Chowk Standing at the wall near the temp le at the top we use to see 2 trains of 5 bogi es from the top of the hill which look for us like 5 match boxes 100 percent possible for the present generation of our age for going to chamundi hills by ste ps now THOSE GOLDEN DAYS ARE GONE
