I was born Jewish, I know Hebrew from birth, I did the bar mitsvah, about 4 months later I heard about the true story of Jesus Christ, the story that my own people kept away from.... well, my own people, I did a lot of research, i can assure to whoever reads this comment that Jesus Christ IS in the old testament, I am now a Christian

He was despised and abandoned by men,
A man of [b]great pain and familiar with sickness;
And like one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.
4 However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore,
And our pains that He carried;
Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted,
Struck down by God, and humiliated.
5 But He was [c]pierced for our offenses,
He was crushed for our wrongdoings;
The punishment for our [d]well-being was laid upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all
To [e]fall on Him.

Shalom v'yom tov Rabbi Singer. I think you've got the first part of that right, that people tend to view the Christian Jesus as a kind of superman. however, the second assumption about reading in context I think isn't taking cognative dissonance into account, where they will try to find a way for it to be right anyway, and put in perceived gaps to the context. People who are sold out on a topic can see the context, but find a solution they need to find in their own minds. Keep up the good work though. Lehitra'ot Rabbi tov.

When I grew up every Sunday was one or two Bible passages. Sunday school was only one passage.I used to wonder how Jews could study the same books of the Bible over and over. You and Rabbi Friedman’s lessons about what did well known Bible stories really mean brought me to realize how shallow my understanding really was.

Interesting: Basically Kal El (Supermans real name) means lightweight God. “Kal” (קל) means both lightweight and easy, but in this context it’s more plausible that it means lightweight. Whereas “El” (אל) means God.
That said, with an English accent, which both Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster held (both Jews by the way), it may also be possible that the original meaning was actually voice of God. As the English speaker may pronounce the word voice (קול) “Kol” in Hebrew similarly to “Kal”. So either one is basically possible.

I did not believe in anything until 3.13.13. That night I saw Jesus Christ in a dream. Woke up and had tears coming down my face and was shaking feverishly for about 2 to 3 hrs straight. I became a believer that evening. I see videos like this and I can't begin to explain how fortunate I am to have a relationship with my Lord and not fall prey to false prophets like this man.
