Definitely the AH! Major AH! His girl is blowing this WAAAAY out of proportion! She’s his step mom for all intents and purposes- making his favorite dish, brining him lunch, hugging, etc… NORMAL “MOM” behaviors and it sounds like she’s treated him well! To not invite her is being a major AH and good for his Dad on saying he may not come! The bride to be needs to grow up and get over it! What is she going to demand he never have hugs from females because she’s so insecure??? She is 9/10 and he. Is 8/10!

OP and OP fiance definitely the AH she is taking out something that happened with her family on a woman who has done nothing to her, and sounds like she thinking some corn kinda stuff is going to go down, between step mom and step son, so shows she also doesn't trust her fiance, also thinks the step mom is just with his dad to get to her boyfriend, surprised she doesn't think the mom wants him as well

Only a 6, I’d say a 8. The fiancé is seriously projecting her insecurities and I do not understand how OP is not only okay with marrying someone so jealous but also going along with the demand. OP needs to sit the fiancé down and reassure her, cause I sure he’d never be with someone that’s been with his dad for 12 YEARS!
She’s not just some midlife crisis girlfriend. That is OPs stepmom, that’s family, and family should be at your wedding. I know he said they aren’t married, but 12 years together is common law marriage in a lot of places. This woman isn’t going anywhere.
I don’ know though, maybe I’m taking too strong of a stance.
