Saying it helps you throw too far isn't why its illegal. It just doesn't meet the legal specs for a disc. Perhaps it does go farther for some but the rim is too wide.

It's heavier, past the weight limit for PGA approved discs. I threw the ninja for years just for fun. Once you get it down, which it requires a lot more power to throw but it can handle more power keeping it stable. It'll go far as hell if you figure it out.
