The trilogy ended just FINE. It's even worse with how they brought Tai Lung back and did NOTHING with it:

If they wanted to write a story about Po passing the torch to a new Dragon Warrior, they could have at least made the movie take place a few decades later. Showing Po as a grizzled legend past his prime, inspiring a new generation of warriors, could’ve been a genuinely good story. Instead it kinda just felt like they were shoving him out the door.

Plus, unlike The Chameleon, we actually got to know who Tai Lung, Shen, and Kai were. We knew what they were capable of, we knew what happened to them in the past, we knew what they wanted to do and why. So basically, Tai Lung Shen and Kai actually did things while The Chameleon didn’t.

The Chameleon’s motivation was hot a$$. Ignoring the fact that there are kung-fu masters smaller than her, half the f*cking city is shown to use some form of martial arts. What, she couldn’t just intimidate some of the local thugs to teach her their tricks?
Also, why was Po acting like he’d never seen a big city before? The entire second movie’s plot revolves around a big city.

The IDEA isn't a bad one. Po can't be the Dragon Warrior forever, and the world needs the Dragon Warrior. The problem is, bro still looks like a Young Adult. If they visibly Aged him, I'd buy it tbh, but he's at worst early 30's, right now. Now maybe if the idea of Po needing to find a Successor was put into his head in the movie, and he meets the new character and Po sees her potential, that'd be way more interesting then what we got
