Look at what you did Odin, you gave Jesus's anxiety!

Haven't watched this, but can't help but notice that the pagan spring goddess held no animosity whatsoever towards Jesus. Is it just that Odin is a prick in this one?

"When they started following you everybody else got burned!"
What's sad is he never even told them to do that

Jesus is standing there, looking at his sandles thinking, "I didn't ask to be born, Dads...."

So is Jesus stronger than all of them, or has his power been diluted by all the denominations to the point that he's not a threat?

I would LOVE to read the Bible of that Existential Crisis Jesus. He's probably the only one that'd make sense lol

The funny thing is Jesus doesn't mind sharing his day with others. The day was truly about rebirth. Letting go of the past. Something Odin has yet learned to do.

Odin is like that one person in your family destined for greatness and once had it all...but now is bitter and holds other down to their low level

I love how Jesus is in Character, so humble and apologetic, even though with the faith he holds, he could probably obliterate them all with a wave of the hand. But that is not his way of course. I’m not even religious lmao. Just cool ass lore 😂

There are people still worship Ostera even today. There are people who still worship Odin.

American gods sadly got that thing wrong since the earliest reference to any goddess Ostara or Eostre is from the 7th century CE by St Bede, with no earlier references known to man so this was a crap statement in the series.

His fragile ego and thirst for power is exactly why! Plus nobody wants to sacrifice innocent animals, babies, or humans in their names anymore! 😂… Jesus Christ is just that chill loving guy, a true animal lover who was born in a farm stable

Painting eggs with dandelions and paprika? That would be a neat trick, unless the people doing the painting were from Central America. Paprika, like all peppers is a New World plant. It was unknown in Europe and the Middle East until it was brought back by Spanish colonizers in the 16th Century. Also, Ostara has nothing to do with Easter, beyond the name given it in English thanks to the Venerable Bede. Most places refer to it by some variation on the word Pascha.

This show started off sooooooo fuckin good and then all the behind the scenes bs started happening and once Bryan Fuller left Gillian Anderson and Kristin Chenoweth went with him and it just spiraled out of control. They tried to get it back on track but it just got progressively worse. Fuckin shame because the book is amazing.... And this first season had so much potential.😢

If you really wants to be technical only the English world and even that not all call it Easter, pasecha is the more common name and came from the Jewish holiday of pesach or in English Passover which the last supper was the Passover dinner(also apparently osetra connection isn’t correct according to religious researchers)
