Y'all it's her wedding so HER DECISION! If she doesn't want kids there that's totally fine! And when it comes to Alaina she's family, toddler or not it's more than ok for her to be there. The "No Kids" policy is more directed to non-relatives.

There's arabic saying that we write on invitation cards which literally says"kids' heaven is home" which means leave ur kid at home but in polite way, which I like 😁

Amanda, the way I did it was by writing exactly who is invited, by name, on the invitation envelope. It’s very clear that way :) “Mr. and Mrs. So and So” is very different from “The So and So Family”. Good luck and try to enjoy all the excitement. There is stress involved im wedding planning - no doubt - but tons of beautiful happy memories too. Enjoy it now because it you will look back and it will seem like it flew by!

i feel like kids make weddings so much more fun and memorable, my nephews and nieces had so much fun during my wedding and they played with the guest's children and they have so many cute pictures all together 🥰
one thing that could help if you're worried kids will be out of control is hiring a nanny for the day maybe? not sure how much they cost in america 🤔
either way the decision is up to you of course and i'm sure you'll have a beautiful wedding ❤

omg, amanda ur wedding was still beautiful and don't feel bad about not allowing kids. I'm libyan and in our traditional weddings, kids are never normally allowed. when I was younger, the Libyan mums would hold like annual fake weddings just so we can feel the vibes

In Yemen we do mention we are not inviting kids by stating that "kids heaven is thier home 😅" and it is completely natural, the only exception is if the bride ir the groom have younger sibling

But children are part of society! I find it so wierd when people do this, I mean it's her wedding that's fine, but don't expect everyone to be there as its not always easy or possible getting childcare.

You could say "Don't forget to give your children a goodnight kiss" on the invitation card. Us Moroccans here in the Netherlands do it all the time, the message gets across just fine and people have no problem with it 🤗
