Why is Colon Cancer In Young Black People, like Brian McKnight's son Niko, becoming alarmingly common? We're seeing more and more colorectal cancer diagnoses at younger ages and, tragically, higher mortality rates in our community (often twice as likely before the age of 50 compared to White Americans). It's not just one thing; factors from genetics, like specific mutations, to diet and socioeconomic status play a part. Sadly, even with higher genetic susceptibility, we're less likely to get screened. I’m going break down the 7 critical lessons from Niko McKnight's colon cancer battle, emphasizing early screening and recognizing symptoms.

This isn't just statistics; it's about our lives, black health, and our future. Let's talk about it and take action.

Thank you, doctor, for enlightening our Black community of colon cancer! Black people, please take heed to keep ourselves healthy. I love ❤️ my Black people. We have to break the curse on us. Let's stop killing killing each other.Love each other and help lift each other up. Love each other and encourage each other to stay out of jail
And for those Blacks who have made it with college degrees or trade schools, reach out to lift others up who may need your support. Get healthy 💪 first and love one another! Let's not look down at individuals who deem to be recklessly in their demeanor. Trust me, I know
