Nice! I'm thinking about reflashing the Helium mesh node in my attic to be a Meshtastic node instead. I like his weather alert idea.

Awesome setup. The news about 900mhz spectrum being on the table for commercial consideration has me a bit nervous to invest very much in meshtastic but at the same time the more users we can get in the 900mhz space maybe better for making our case for what will be lost if it were allocated to commercial use. We amatures don't bring in the money like commercial but this is an excellent example of why its so important to keep 900Mhz in the amature radio space. An open space for innovation to thrive, such as the meshtastic project, which can provide a public safety benefit like weather alerting.

I would buy one. I like meshtastic, but I don't have enough time to built this stuff, sadly. I would love pre-built weather proof nodes! Very cool build.

Is this builder putting content online? I am building a very similar one and would like to see if I can borrow some ideas from him.

If I understand correctly, the more we have promotion of these nodes being available, whether for sale or by installation by builders, this will only benefit us all as a group. Any link to any potential seller?

What is the purpose of the band pass filter? In my experience the G2 runs pretty clean.
Edit: I'm guessing it is to lower the Rx noise floor.

For $110 is this worth it for someone looking to use this in conjunction with maybe a base station or home repeater?
