I have yet to actually discover an original Chinese invention that wasnāt made hundreds of years ago like gunpowder or toilet paper and thatās not just a cheap janky copy of something western. Creativity just isnāt in the culture anymore, compliance is. So as long as it APPEARS good, thatās all that matters apparently

There's no such thing as a stupid question.
The simple fact is if they perfect making robots look like humans, then whatever benefits come from that would be long to them.
Now If you had a robot that had to watch your newborn or elderly parent it might be beneficial to have that robot look just like you so that the bonding of the human being to the robot would reflect to you solely. That's just one example of a useful use case. Feel Me,1ā¤
