Why EU & Africa Aren't Connected πŸ‘€

Transcript: Did you know that Europe and Africa are only about 8 miles apart, yet there’s no bridge connecting them? So why is that?

At Europe’s southern tip lies Spain, and directly across Africa, we have Morocco. The stretch of water separating them is the Strait of Gibraltar, linking the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. So If a bridge were to be built here, it could massively boost trade between the two continents.

But why hasn’t it been built? The answer lies in three key reasons, and the last one is quite troubling.

First, the Strait of Gibraltar is incredibly deep, making bridge construction a near-impossible feat of engineering.

Second, this area sits on the Azores-Gibraltar fault line, making it highly susceptible to devastating earthquakes and tsunamis.

And the third, harsh reality is that Europe fears an influx of migrants, leading to strong resistance against building the bridge.

Seems weird not to mention that its one of the top 10 busiest shipping lanes on the planet which is the primary reason for not building a bridge.

Well yeah because when the strait of Gibraltar dam was broken, it was filling up the whole Mediterranean Sea in a couple of days, meaning that the dam of the strait of Gibraltar was erased by STRONG EROSION, like if black hole from BFDI erased the entire dam.
