When troubleshooting RFI issues, it's important to identify the source of the problem, halt the information path, and protect whatever victims are affected. Usually this means identifying a transmitter as the source and then assessing if reception antennas (often disguised as AC wiring or phone lines) are what make up the path. The victioms of RFI are generally electronic devices that suffer from interference in sound, buzzes, or scrambled video images.

There are many options for mobile ham operators, whether you're looking for a ruggedized, self-contained package that operates on battery power or something that runs on 12 volts and is more easily mounted in your vehicle.
