In Texas, the winter of 2020 was unusually cold. The windmills froze to a stop (no electricity). The solar cel l s covered with ice and snow (little electricity). Texans died in their cold houses.

I used to work on wind mills on the Altamont Pass.
They require constant maintenance, which is very expensive.
