You, as young black people, have to consider and remember that the first two hundred and fifty years of black income to build wealth, was stolen or taken by law, in what was called slavery, and invested in the white economy and society to increase white wealth which was passed down to generations of white kids. Also, the opportunity for higher education to generate higher income and build wealth, was denied black people until they established their own means of higher education (HBCUS) after the end of slavery, when learning was denied and even illegal for black people. That history is being whitewashed and removed from the history books so that discussion of inequality like this will not include it. Therefore, white Americans had over two hundred and fifty years of their income and black income (that they did not earn) to invest, save and pass down to future generations on white Americans.
