I think that tamlin does deserve a redemption ark like Rhysand was portrayed as an evil character and now heā€™s on the main characters so kept tamlin get his redemption ark

Even though Tamlin showed signs in book one of being possessive and internalizing his trauma, I think the severity of his decline was such an unnecessary character assassination. Especially when his behavior is then mirrored by Captain Feminism "You always have a choice, so long as those choices line up with what I want" High Lord of the Night Court.

Its normal for people to grow apart after life altering trauma. Feyre's recovery didn't have to be propelled by men. I know we're all here for the drama of it all, but it wasn't necessary to do him THAT dirty.

People like Rhysand and excuse a lot of the stuff he did in ACOTAR and ACOSF. Yet, Tamlin is somehow 100% evil?
I donā€™t think we WILL get a redemption arc from SJM, but seeing Spring Court be build up from its ruins would be amazing and fascinating, I desperately want to read that šŸ˜

ikr!! the double standards are so stupid. the inner circle essentially kidnaps Nesta and forces her to stay for her 'own 'good' which is EXACTLY what Tamlin did to Feyre!

I am on my second read through and yes, Tamlin and Feyre were good for each other BEFORE under the mountain, afterwards they just didnā€˜t fit anymore, and he deserves his redemption. šŸ˜Š
I also LOVE Lucian and hope that we get a book about him

Honestly he just deserves a little less hate

Authors sometimes (like in this case) will have a clear idea of who they ultimately want the love interest to be so they make the other"love interest(s)" a bad person so readers will root for the ship they want

I've never read ACOTAR, but I feel like this is almost the exact same debate I've seen people having about Apollo and JacksšŸ˜‚

When Acotar fans get together... It sounds like one of them talking to herself.
This dialogue could've been a monologue.

Honestly, at this point, Tamlin and Rhysand are the same, the only difference is that Rhysand is wearing a mask to hide his true self.

I've never read any of these books but all I know is that him having trauma doesn't excuse anything he does, it might explain it, but he still did bad things lol

There is a song by Ninja Sex Party that can describe how Iā€™m feeling right now. Iā€™ll sing some lyrics.ā€œI donā€™t know what weā€™re talking about. Iā€™m totally lost. I donā€™t know what weā€™re talking about. Who are yo- Where am I I donā€™t know what weā€™re talking about and I havenā€™t for a whileā€

Tamlin was dealing with his own trauma, and was terrified for for Feyre. Yes, he went to terrible lengths to get her, and he thought Rhys was continuing her mind. Rhys was very controlling of feyre when she was pregnant. He literally hid that she could die from it, thereby taking away her choices. He forced Nesta to be around Cassian, even though she didn't want to. I mean, I'm not complaining about how THAT turned out. And don't get me wrong, I love Rhys. But there are double standards. We accept whatever Rhys does, but crack down on tamlin if he did anything similiar. I feel like everyone in the books is treating him unfairly. What happened to supporting morally gray characters, or is that only if they're the current love interest? (I have an issue with morally gray character support, but nonetheless.) Thank you for reading my rant.

Based on this, yes, he deserves redemption.

I think tamlin deserves a redemption and I agree with the whole double standard thing. Itā€™s so understandable why he treated Feyre the way he did after under the mountain even if itā€™s not okay.

From what I heard most of the things that are happening are from Feyre POV and I don't think she's a trusted narrator. Since she is new to the fae world right? Can't teach someone thousands of years of history in a short amount of time. Especially from the guys who want you to like themšŸ˜…

Acotar fans are split into people who support tamlin and nesta, and the other half who support rhys and feyre
