Aider and Dave are the definition of team work letting both guitars make the sound. Most other 80s guitarists were arguing over riffs and Solos and making one guy, Just the rhythm. Another testament to Steve who played a bass like a lead guitarist and wouldn't let Dave and Aider squabble for Ego reasons. Aider usually brings in the first solo nice and melodic and then Dave comes next and shreds. It just works.

I’ve always loved these harmonies. I would spend ages trying to work them out on guitar, trying to recreate that sound. Also, it’s not just Iron Maiden, I’ve always been fascinated by harmonies in general like the vocals in songs by The Beach Boys and all sorts.
