So... the reason for that is actually because these things were used in the 1950s. Yeah those low BR Swedish tanks with APDS served into the cold war. Hence the need of APDS to pen those stronger tanks

One of the reserve can also do the IS-2 move, so technically we have a tank that has good pen and top tier survivability.

Those vehicles served well into the 1950s so they have APDS. Heck I remember that they have an APC that was converted from the Swedish version of the Panzer 38 (t) and used well into the 1970s. Which is in the game as an ATGM carrier.

They're still one of the most fun reserve tanks to play. Fast and high penetration (111mm at 100m)

These rounds USED to do real damage too before the sabot nerf. You could 1 hit just about everything with a center mass shot and aiming was pathetically easy because of the round velocity.

literally the polar opposite of japan's reserve tier, where your shells have the muzzle velocity of a football but if you somehow penetrate your target it vaporizes them instantly.

Also for some reason there tank destroyers, the armour piercing high explosive is in the last teir of there modification's, enjoy using stock ap.

These rounds became available post war, problem is that quite a few of the rank 1 tanks that have them weren't in service post war and wouldn't have used them. They're a great thing to have at like BR 2.7, but there's no need for them at 1.0

In my experience the apds on these early swed tanks are some of the best at the tier even for post pen damage. Maybe i can just aim or get lucky with them but its super fun to use
