I did intermittent fasting for about a year, lost 30 pounds and have kept it off. I recently in the last month have added a protein meal about an hour after awakening and have eaten a small second meal before I would typically eat anything and believe it or not, have lost another five pounds that I honestly didn’t think I could lose. Added food and lost five pounds after an entire year plateau

Well I also want to add, from my experience, even if I got common cold, it is also the time i break my fast for a while. I also want to say, due to sudden change of weather in where I am from, a lot of people around me start to get sick. And I have fasted for 2 weeks with lately being over 18 hours max 23. And right now i have a flu. But thank you so much for the insightful info

I’m fasting now, my last meal was cooked cut steel oats at 8:30am.
My wave of hunger was when I got my daughter chick fill a at 4:30 pm probably from the smell , but now at 6:49pm the wave is crushing !!!!! I want to eat badly 🤣🤣🤣 so I might be fasting in the right way 😂
My plan is to do 72 hours water fasting 🙏

I would guess that next thing would be not having set times for eating, just eat when hungry? Kind of like drinking for thirst.. Gatorade and other sports drink industry made some "science" that it's too late to drink when thirst comes, which made people drink far too much and even caused some hyponatremia(over drinking) deaths in marathons.. Maybe eating should be kind of same, although it's not so convenient to accomplish.
Hunger is kind of demonized in media, it makes you hangry and all that bad of dropping blood sugar. Snacking is even recommended by some official well known and trusted nutrition experts.

On another topic. You have talked about losing 100 pounds. I my son has lost a similar amount and is happy for the gains in his health but now has an apron of loose skin around his abdomen. Is there anything he can do short of surgery? Thank you so much. Trying to be helpful mom.

Thanks I definitely got to the point of just not being interested in eating at all. But started to eat and breakfast was a very odd experience. This helps.
