Replaced my corsair h100i aio with this (AMD version) along with the offset brackets and grizzly contact frame. My idle temps (7800x3d) went from 60c to 45c. My ambient room temp sits at around 80c. Quite the improvement.

$200 + tax and it’s a few degrees cooler than the old model, MAYBE?

No thank you.

You get better cooling with aio, but they're not as reliable or long lasting as air coolers. Those are just facts. My h100i had great temps but it was super finicky. If you move the pc just a bit, the pumps don't work =/ stuff like that annoyed the shit out of me.
It was a bad experience that I don't want to go through again. My hyper 212 now just freaking works! It ain't nothing special, but it does the job no matter how much I move the pc around.
I might go back to aio if I want to run a i9 but that's a big if cuz noctua and thermalryte makes good air coolers for i9s
