I’m sure this board has a lot of great features. My question is this: Were all those iconic records made using that console great as a result of the console; or was it the well-written songs, arrangements, production, and skill of the engineers involved? If there is one thing watching your channel has taught me is that just because something has an iconic reputation and a price tag to match, it doesn’t mean you can’t make great sounding recordings with what you already have. But if you’ve got the money and know it would improve your results, go for it!

I lowkey always liked your more simplistic looking setup because it looks a little more inviting to the majority of viewers who are producing at home. If it makes your work easier than definitely buy it but I personally like the idea of your current setup.

It comes down to three things.
1. Efficiency. Bang for the buck. Will the work flow be alot better?
2. Effectiveness Is the juice worth the squeeze. For the price , will it pay for itself in 5 years?
3. When will it be outdated. Is she a keeper... or an expensive date.
So, as your channel consistently says... Will it go as the Kemper???
Bottom line. If you can afford it. Go for it.. It's your money. You've earned it.

Never seen a Black, but my university had the original version of the Genesys and it was beautiful to mix through when it wasn’t being temperamental as f*** because the inbuilt computer had a tendency to crash from overheating because the cooling fans were insufficient for the task. Hopefully they’ve long fixed that.
